Kelley's Island

We are in Kelly's island, the wind was pretty bad last night and this morning . We stayed at the boat most of today so Jim could re-adjust the lines as needed. It seems to have calmed down now, so hopefully we will head out tomorrow morning. The water snakes up here are all over. The picture is of a raised flower bed on the dock next to our boat, lucky us! Jim tried to count how many heads he saw, the highest count was 43. They just pile up and sun themselves, really gross.

This weekend is Island Fest up here, today there was a parade which we were able to watch from our boat, and tonight there were fireworks, again a front row seat from the boat.

We may go to Toledo before we head towards Detroit tomorrow, not sure yet. That's part of the fun. Of course everything depends on the weather.

Thanks to our friends Tom & Suzy from Vermilion, they came down to the pier and took the pictures of our departure.
