What a great day! It was overcast when we left Ford Yacht Club in Grosse Isle, MI but the wind had subsided, which made traveling easier. We had a nice slow cruise thru a few channels to the Detroit River, so much to see! I'm posting a few of the pictures. One is of the channel taken out of our front window, the other is of the buildings along the way, the third is of Caesars in Windsor on the Canadian side. We were on the water for about 4 hours today. Our destination is the Detroit Yacht Club, right on the Detroit river.
We arrived @ DYC around 3:00, it is a beautiful place and the all the employees are very helpful. Across the river from the docks is Downtown Detroit, very nice. The DYC is located on Belle Isle, on one side is U.S. the other is Windsor, Canada. We had lunch and dinner at the club, great food, and surprisingly reasonable. Most of the boats here are about the same size and style of ours or larger, so we had a nice stroll down the docks looking at all the different boats.
Depending on the weather tomorrow, we will either stay here another day or head up to the North channel. To get there we will go thru Lake St. Clair, to Anchor Bay and the North Channel is off that. Ben's family has a marina up there called "Sassy Marina". Ben is my cousin Nia's husband. So if you are reading this Nia & Ben, we will probably give you a call tomorrow.
We hope all is well back home, we miss everyone, and we're having a wonderful time.

Hi Jim and Mary! We are headed to Cedar Point today and plan to stay overnight at Hotel Breakers. Maybe even head over by the Jet Express to Put in Bay on Saturday! Looks like good weather which has been scarce this summer.
Continued safe travels. Love the pics.
