Our plan is to head for Mackinaw Island tomorrow, weather permitting. There is a Great loop gathering in Newport Bay, MI on Monday. We are going to try to get there, allot of good info will be available for the trek ahead, along with meeting other boaters that are "looping" . The pictures are of the north channel on the Michigan side, notice the aquamarine waters, so beautiful, I thought you had to go way south to see these colors. I know it's just the shoreline, but the water is so clear and pretty I just had to post it.
The adventures of Jim & Mary on America's Great Loop. After each post, you can click on "comments" and leave us message. We would love to hear from you.

Hi Jim & Mary,
Sounds like you guys are having a great time and the weather has been ok. The pictures are great! I love the bridal falls. Still seems unimaginable to me to take a trip like that. All is well on this end, Jillian is gearing up for another school year. First day is next Thursday. Nick is healing well from being bitten by our neighbor's weimarainer on Sunday. Just needed a tetnaus. We'll catch up with you guys soon!

Hi Jim and Mary,
It is hard to believe that you are finally on the great loop. The pictures are great.
We have been thinking about you alot especially when we dingy passed the docks. We also miss seeing Jim work on the boat and you Mary on her laptop. All is well at VPB.
